What is graphd?

The story of the storage engine behind Freebase.

graphd is the application that powered Freebase (freebase.com). It has its own query language and is based on tuples.

Interestingly, graphd is similar to a logging system in that it is append-only. Any change is written as a new tuple that supersedes the original statement but never overwrites it.
